unWired Broadband is proud to announce that we have launched a new microsite in Stockton, CA. Microsites are a powered by a small wireless Internet transmitter that is designed specifically to target connections in a specialized area. Located in the Stockton Verde Mobile Home Park, this microsite will serve residents in the park that were previously unable to get any type of Internet service. This is unWired’s 4th microsite. Special thanks to one of our Installation Technicians, Vance Haskin, who identified this location and worked with property management and unWired leadership to secure an agreement to get this new microsite up and running. The addition of a new microsite in Stockton is the most recent expression of unWired’s continued commitment to providing fast & reliable Internet to those in rural and underserved areas throughout Central California. In the coming months, we look forward to making continued improvements to our existing network, as well as expanding our coverage area. Coming in at 120 feet tall, this tower will serve existing customers in McFarland and Delano, as well as provide the capacity to serve even more new customers. This is the 9th tower that unWired has launched so far in 2020. Special thanks to Ben Amesquita, our Facilities Coordinator, who is responsible for ensuring the tower site is operational and ready for customers. Ben performs vital testing to ensure unWired continues to offer the same great service we are known for. The addition of a new tower in McFarland is the most recent expression of unWired’s continued commitment to providing fast & reliable Internet to those in rural and underserved areas throughout Central California. unWired Broadband is proud to announce that we have launched a new tower in Delano, CA. Coming in at 216 feet tall, this tower will serve existing customers in east Delano and Richgrove, as well as provide the capacity to serve even more new customers. This is the 8th tower that unWired has launched so far in 2020. Special thanks to one of our Field Construction Specialists, Nick Brown, who came up with an electrical solution that allowed us to get the tower up and running quicker. By understanding unWired's goals, and having a strong grasp on code compliance, Nick did a fantastic job of identifying a problem and coming up with a great solution. The addition of a new tower in Delano is the most recent expression of unWired’s continued commitment to providing fast & reliable Internet to those in rural and underserved areas throughout Central California. The Best Video Conferencing Software for Working Remotely

Skype is free to use, but you can upgrade your plan to utilize even more features for your team.

unWired Broadband is proud to announce that we have launched a tower in Livingston, CA. Coming in at 195 feet tall, this is the 7th tower that unWired has launched so far in 2020. Over a year in the making, special thanks to Lee Wininger for leading the tower climbing crew on this launch. Our tower climbers are trained and tested quarterly for tower rescue. First responders do not have the capabilities to save a climber in case of emergency at height, so our team has to understand various rescue methods and be able to keep a calm, level head in times of crisis. The addition of a new tower in Livingston is the most recent expression of unWired’s continued commitment to providing fast & reliable Internet to those in rural and underserved areas throughout Central California. Keeping in touch with long-distance friends and family has never been easier! Thanks to these video apps and software, you can still stay in touch even when you can’t physically be together. Here are some of our favorites: Netflix Party If you miss having movie nights with your friends, this might be the perfect solution! This Google Chrome extension allows you to sync up with your friends and watch the same movie or TV show on Netflix. There is even a chat window on the side so that you can catch up, while catching up on the latest Netflix shows. This extension is free to download and use. Voxer Voxer acts as a modern-day walkie talkie and allows you to send audio messages to family and friends. You can either listen live or listen to the recorded message later. You can even create group chats with up to 500 people. For individuals, their personal plan is free to use! However, they also have business plans available for purchase. Marco Polo Another walkie talkie app, Marco Polo adds video chatting capabilities! On this app, you can send video messages to friends for them to watch live, or to replay later. It’s perfect for those days when you want to Facetime, but just don’t have the time. You can even create Marco Polo groups to keep in touch with your family or friend groups. Marco Polo is completely free to download and use. Skype For those who do not have iPhones or access to the popular Facetime app, Skype is another great video chatting app. You can video chat family and friends on a desktop, tablet or smartphone. Skype also has a text chat or voice call option for you to keep in touch throughout the day. Facebook Messenger Facebook Messenger has a group video chat feature which makes it super easy to video chat with all of your friends and family at once.
